Information We Collect

We collect the following when you use TN Bus Stand:

Phone number — encrypted at rest and used only to contact monthly giveaway winners. Only the last 4 digits are visible by default.
Location data — only when you explicitly submit a verification photo. We do not track your location automatically anywhere in the app.
Geo-tagged photos — verification images stored securely in Firebase Storage. EXIF GPS metadata is read so we can confirm the photo was taken at the relevant bus stop.
Device / OTP information — hashed phone numbers and timestamps for OTP rate limiting (2 attempts per day). The raw phone number is never stored in this table.
Bus timing corrections, ratings, and improvement ideas you voluntarily submit.

To improve bus timing accuracy across the platform.
To respond to corrections and verify reports.
Your full phone number is used only to contact the monthly giveaway winner. It is visible to the admin team only on demand, and every reveal is logged in an audit trail.
We never sell your phone number or any personal data.
Geo-tagged photos are used only for verification of bus timing and nearby-service data. They are reviewed by the admin team and can be rejected if they don't meet our requirements.

Verification photos are kept for 90 days.
OTP attempt logs are kept for 30 days.
Point transaction history is retained for the lifetime of your account.
To delete your account, email info@tnbusstand.com from the phone number associated with the account.

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand site traffic and improve user experience. No personal identification cookies are used.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

We link to third-party services such as redBus, AbhiBus, and IRCTC for ticket booking. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
